Since it was founded in 2016, Dagesh has supported numerous young Jewish artists in Germany, representing different schools of art and aesthetic traditions, with funding and non-material backing.
The result: A new generation of Jewish artists is addressing a broad spectrum of social themes in contemporary Jewish culture, taking various positions and using various art forms.
This gives Dagesh access to an established, excellent network of young, committed artists working in the visual arts and free painting, as curators, musicians and composers, as writers, directors, actors and filmmakers. And on top of that there are numerous cantors working at the intersection between art practice and Jewish tradition.
With exhibitions, the Dagesh Art Prize, readings, art and literature festivals, catalogues and more, Dagesh offers this productive circle of artists greater visibility, improved networking and opportunities for intensive collaboration in joint projects.
Interested Jewish artists are welcome to join our network.
