Aviva Kaminer works as an artist, curator and illustrator in Frankfurt am Main, where she was born and raised as the first grandchild of Shoah survivors. She studied in London at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design as well as at the Frankfurt Städelschule and J. W. Goethe University. She has worked on various exhibition projects, amongst others at Venice Biennale, the Jewish Museum Berlin, the Historical Museum in Frankfurt and the Städel Museum. In 2017 she founded an open studio for survivors of the Shoah and their families, which she still runs today.
