Dagesh creates a new visibility for jewish artists via exhibitions, lectures, art and literature festivals, public discussions and cooperations.

Jewish works from different jewish, (post-)migrantic, (queer-)feministic, intersectional perspectives and positions towards our society show the many voices of contemporary jewish life. The point is: New impulses and the proposal for a change in our social thinking and doing.

Dagesh Kunstpreis 2023

Seit 2018 wird der DAGESH-Kunstpreis vom Jüdischen Museum Berlin und Dagesh - Jüdische Kunst im Kontext verliehen. Er will neue und vielfältige jüdische Gegenwartspositionen und die hybriden Identitäten jüdischer Künstler*innen sichtbar machen.

»TRANSITIONS. Festival Jüdischer Gegenwartskünste« präsentierte vielfältige künstlerische Gegenwartsperspektiven und Praxen im Spannungsfeld von Protest und Widerstand, Solidarität und Neugestaltung. Das dreitägige Festival verbindete rund 50 Künstler*innen – jüdisch, nicht-jüdisch, säkular, religiös geprägt, (post-)migrantisch, feministisch, Schwarz, of Color und/oder queer –, die Gesellschaft weiter und anders denken.
