Julia Rublow was born in Kiev, Ukraine, grew up in Magdeburg, Germany and currently lives and works in Vienna, Austria. Rublow is co-founder of Edition Furor, founding member of the artist group Club Fortuna and co-initiator of Strand. She is also a band member of the group Thriving Thorns and the Crying Crows Meltdown. She lived and worked in Paris from 2012 to 2013 and in London in 2015. In recent years, her works have been shown in group and solo exhibitions in Vienna, Paris, Moscow, Berlin, Copenhagen and London. In addition to her own artistic work, Rublow also works as an independent curator.
