Cleo Kempe Towers investigates the power dynamics between the healer and the one in search of healing. In their research from Kabbalah to New Age, one dynamic remains: the giver versus the receiver. Using shapes associated with announcing prophecies, Towers challenges scripture and seeks new ways of prophesying. Towers holds a Master’s from Berlin University of the Arts and has shown work in, but not limited to, Berlin, Paris, Stockholm, Zagreb, Leipzig, Hamburg, Oakland and San Francisco.
